The Park District will turn Mills Park into a fun filled carnival! Celebrate the start of summer with us! Wristbands will allow you unlimited access to all the activities – $5 per person, available at the park on event day.

Food Vendors will be on hand to feed your appetite. Cash only. Pleasant Home will be open as well for free self-guided tours of this historic home.

During this last 12 month period, we have taken the time to upgrade our clubroom. Improved DCC and a freshly painted floor await us when we are once again open.

The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers helped Santa December 7 at Cheney Mansion. Hundreds came for a visit with Santa and met with OPSME members Dan Joya and his son Michael who welcomed guests and kept the train running on the rails.

Thanks to the 85 people who visited us at our Fall Open House, Saturday, Novenber 2, 2019. We had trains running all day on both our large DCC layout and our junior CD layout. Thanks especially to the junior engineers who operated at our event.
Watch for a special Family Fun event we have planned for February.And, stop by any Sunday between 1 pm and 3 pm to see our trains in action.

Sunday, June 2 the Oak Park Model Railroad Club participated in Day in Our Village, a celebration of all things Oak Park. We were in Mills Park among many Park District attractions. Thanks to the more than 100 families who stopped by to visit. We hope to see you down at our club room in the Dole Learning Center, 255 Augusta Boulevard in Oak Park.
