Opsme club member, Ken Krizanic at the A.A.R.S 2014..
Ken Krizanic lived with his sister on the Northside of Chicago. He was an art teacher at a Catholic grade school in Cicero for many years till the school closed about 20+ years ago. After that, he got a job at Triton College in River Grove, also teaching art to students. Being that he was a teacher for many years, he was really great with kids and always had fun interacting with them. Ken also really loved trains and was part of the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, a model railroad club located in North Oak Park for many years. He was an active club member always participating in events such as the All American Railroad Show in La Grange where he would meet and greet with visitors, passing out flyers. He would also participate in our club's annual Fall/Spring Open Houses where he would interact with the kids and show them how to run a train on the small layout we have set up. Ken was a funny, easy going guy who always had something to say about anything from the weather to art to model trains. He will be grately missed by our fellow club members. Goodbye Old Friend! See You Again Soon!
